Rich grew up in Iowa where he graduated from Dowling high school in 1980 and attended the University of Iowa where he received his B.S. degree in Geology in 1985.   He worked as a Hydrologist for the State of Arizona before attending Arizona State University College of Law where he received his J.D. degree in 1991. Rich is married and lives in Chandler with his wife and three sons.

Rich is admitted to practice before the Superior Courts of Arizona and Iowa and the Federal District Court for Arizona.  He is a member of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association, where he served on the Board of Directors, and the American Trial Lawyers Association.  He enjoys a
BV peer review rating in the Martindale Hubbell which means a very high rating in both legal ability and ethical standards. Rich has been a speaker at a number of seminars for the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association.  He was also invited by the Supreme Court of Arizona to speak at the required course on professionalism for lawyers. 

Rich only represents consumers and practices in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death, insurance bad faith, and consumer fraud.  Rich has been asked by other attorneys to associate with them in order to help try their cases.  Rich also associates with other lawyers to help try his client’s cases, recognizing that many times it is in the client’s best interest, especially in areas like insurance bad faith where the Insurance Companies have overwhelming resources. 

Over his career, Rich has recovered millions on behalf of individuals harmed by the wrongful and careless conduct of others, including corporations and insurance companies.  His cases have resulted in the modifications of practices and behaviors by hospitals, manufacturers and automobile dealers.
